The lymphoid system is the only bodily organ system without its own pump. It is complimentary to the circulatory system and part of our working immune system. Its purpose is to maintain fluid balance, absorb fats, while also filtering waste, toxins, and debris from body tissues to then return cleaned fluid back to the bloodstream. 

It’s the body’s drainage system. Since it doesn’t have an inherently built-in pump, the lymphatic system relies on manual stimulation through movement, hydration, deep breathing, proper diet, and detoxification periods to maintain function. 

Occasionally, even when we’ve put our best efforts forward, our lymph can become stagnant and needs a nudging to get the system operating at full function again. Poke root (Phytolacca Americana) is the king of lymphatic drainage! It promotes healthy immune response and stimulates detoxification through active compounds phytolaccin and triterpenoid saponins.

Apply to inflamed soft tissue, swollen lymph nodes, or the bottoms of the feet to promote circulation and lymphatic flow.
